Harvard mentor Luisa Shida was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, having just moved to the United States to pursue her undergraduate studies at Harvard. Passionate about the social sciences and anything related to politics or international relations, she strives to develop innovative ways to breach inequality gaps around the world. Her areas of interest range from cryptocurrencies to human rights, and she is currently carrying out research on Latin American democracy at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Research. Luisa also loves a cappella music, her four dogs, and doing crosswords.
