There is a keen awareness and concern amongst the teenagers for the need to move towards more sustainable practices for our planet. A report by a leading strategy consulting firm highlighted the desire amongst today’s teenagers to be change agents from an early age.

The HUCEG Sustainability Leaders Challenge focuses on mentoring young changemakers as they kick-start their sustainability journeys. They will get guidance from Ivy League mentors and global leaders on how they can start their Sustainability changemaker journey, come up with solutions to problems, participate in a competition and get Ivy league mentorship as they move to the final stages of the competition.

We are looking for a cohort group of students from across the world. Interested high school students should submit an application. Shortlisted students will be going through an interview round before selection.

‘Neighbourhood Sustainability’ Challenge

Identify a challenge to the environment posed by your immediate surroundings- your house, residential colonies, etc., and create a campaign to change the behaviors of the people involved, so that they adopt more sustainable alternatives to the given problem.

‘Sustainability at School’ Challenge

Identify how your school can adopt more sustainable practices or how sustainability can be incorporated into the school curriculum. Sustainable practices at school can be focused on one dimension, such as water, waste, plastic, food, etc., or can be multi-dimensional.

‘Learn with Nature’ Challenge

Biomimicry is innovation inspired by nature. In a society accustomed to dominating or 'improving' nature, this respectful imitation is a radically new approach, a revolution really. Creating a prototype of a new object/product which mimics elements of nature to solve problems of environmental change and destruction.

Established in 2019 Mission

To accelerate the clean energy transition through interdisciplinary education and climate action.

Our group provides tools and opportunities to undergraduate students hoping to make an impact within the clean energy space, including:

During this week, participants will be required to submit their business idea/solution (as individuals or in teams of up to 4 participants).
